MONKEY KING FROM INDIA

Wednesday, June 9, 2010
Posted by ADMIN

Monkey king is how this man from India likes to be called. When you get to see his moves and the way he climbs on very dangerous and hard reachable places you will son recognize that he is actually imitating monkey moves. It looks like and easy ride when you look at him, but I am sure that there is o one who would be able to repeat something like this. This is a brave or stupid thing to do…not sure where to categorize it. One thing is for sure that a skill you will not find easily, but I just can’t imagine for what kind of job someone would need it. If you get to think of some be sure to let me know. Enjoy the photos as well as the additional video.

Child Marriages in India

Posted by ADMIN

Many girls in India get married when they are still kids. Children marriages are banned in this country, but they still happen. Government survey in 2006 reported that 45 % of Indian girls were married being younger than 18 years old. Local police raids child marriage ceremonies when it gets a chance because young girls who are forced to marry boys or old men are often at risk of violence and sexual abuse. Inside this post you can find photos of child brides taken by Reuters’ photographers.

Newly-wed Krishna, 11, lifts her veil during her wedding ceremony with 13-year-old Kishan Gopal in a village near Kota in the northwestern Indian state of Rajasthan, May 16, 2010.

SCHOOL BUSES IN INDIA

Posted by ADMIN

Probably first reaction to this photos is saying that it is terrible how children are being transported like a cattle in small wagons, but if you think about the situation of this country and it’s culture you might even look at these vehicles as regular transportation car. These small yellow tricycles in India have the same role as yellow school buses in America. This culture, common throughout the world is one that has grown organically, where distances are short enough to be cycled (where litigation is minimal!) and where homebrew transportation is common.
