Katy Perry, first known for singing about kissing a girl, has proven that she is one of the sexiest stars today. The 25-year-old Perry, who is engaged to comedian Russell Brand, was named Maxim magazine’s sexiest for 2010, dislodging “House” star Olivia Wilde from the top of the magazine’s Hot 100 list.
Maxim editor-in-chief Joe Levy described Perry, who topped the charts with “I Kissed a Girl,” as “tripe–no quadruple–kind of hot.” Perry beat the likes of model Brooklyn Decker, actress Zoe Saldana of “Avatar” fame, and Blake Lively of TV’s “Gossip Girl.” Former number one Wilde, who plays a lesbian on “House,” dropped to 20th spot.
Angelina Jolie, who was once a shoo-in for the top spot, landed in 38th spot. Other stars on this year’s list are “Transformer’s” Megan Fox, reality star Kim Kardashian, and singer Rihanna. Marissa Miller, who recently topped FHM’s own list, took 10th spot. Troubled young star Lindsay Lohan was kicked out of the list this year.
