Mark Zuckerberg (facebook Owner) Complains About His New iPhone on Facebook

Tuesday, June 15, 2010

Apparently, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg got himself a brand-new iPhone this week — and, apparently, he’s not too pleased with the device.

Yesterday, the fresh-faced founder took to his Facebook wall to air a few grievances about the Apple product, sending some scorn in the general direction of the smartphone’s battery life and call quality.

After a bevy of Facebookers “Liked” Zuckerberg’s status, he explained in the comments: “My thumbs were hurting from my Blackberry so I switched. I’ll probably get iPhone 4 if I don’t switch to Android.”

Our question as this point is: Why not wait one more day to pre-order the hot new iPhone 4?

Mac Mini Gets an Aluminum Unibody Update

Posted by ADMIN

Apple today launched an updated Mac Mini, which now has an aluminum unibody housing and far more powerful hardware than the previous iteration.

The specs now start with a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, 2 GB of RAM, 320 GB hard drive, and an NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics chip, all of which will set you back $699.

Those in need of a slightly more powerful machine can get the $999 version, which sports a 2.66GHz Core 2 Duo, 4 GB of RAM, dual 500 GB 7200-rpm hard drives, GeForce 320M graphics, and Mac OS X Server Snow Leopard.

Both versions come with an SD card reader, 802.11n WiFi, 4 USB ports, a Mini DisplayPort jack, and a HDMI-out jack. The elegant new enclosure was created by Apple’s unibody construction process, and it’s only 7.7-inches square and 1.4-inches thin.

iPhone 4 Now Available for Pre-Order

Posted by ADMIN

If you want your iPhone 4 to be black, you can now pre-order it from Apple’s website for $199 (16 GB model) or $299 (32 GB model), together with the good old 8GB iPhone 3GS which is now $99 with a two-year contract with AT&T. Pre-orders are limited to two per customer.

Although Apple put the pre-order page up in the middle of the night (U.S. time), it still caused enough interest to suffocate Apple’s servers, so you might experience slow loading times, with the page at times being completely unavailable.

Pre-orders are also available in the UK and France, but these stores are down at the time of this writing. Once they’re back, customers will be able to buy an unlocked iPhone 4 which starts at £499 in the UK and €629 in France.
